Here are a lot of nice sewn holders for knitting needles out there, but I wasn’t up for another sewing project, so concocted this little holder out of some left-over Malabrigo Rasta that I had on hand.
Size 13 needles
Cast on 25 stitches
Seed stitch about 10 rows
Cast off

The other night I was staying up late to pay bills and get my life in order, to the extent that is possible ): While doing this, I ended up listening to covers of “Gulf Coast Highway” by Nancy Griffith and came across this Texas duo doing an incredible rendition of this song. I then found two more songs by Walt (with Tina in one) that I found incredibly moving. This quality of singing and songwriting could really inspire me to do more music.

Thali at Dosa Temple, Somerville

First I have to say that we don’t generally even like restaurants. Food cooked at home is usually better. The exception for us is South Indian Vegetarian. The three of us have debated about whether it’s worth driving 4 hours to Queens for our favorite South Indian at Dosa Hutt. We never fail to miss this if we’re in the vicinity of New York.
